While we still have a few weeks to go, the end of the gleaning season is in sight. We wanted to take a moment to thank farmer Rawley Johnson of Early Bird Farm who collaborated with our glean team on a weekly basis throughout the season to offer fresh produce from his farm. With still another five weeks left, our glean team has thus far been able to harvest close to 4,500 lbs of food that’s been donated to local food banks other and food security programs. A big thank you to Farmer Rawley for welcoming us on to his land, and generously giving the abundance of his harvest to help feed our community.

We also want to thank all the wonderful people who signed up as gleaning volunteers, our summer intern Soumya, and our dedicated Branch Leaders for consistently showing up to help us lovingly harvest all manner of delicious vegetables and herbs to help feed our community members in need. We simply couldn’t do this work with you and we appreciate you immensely.
