Green Cities Connect Community to Nature

Over the course of 2 days this fall many volunteers opted to get outdoors and connect with nature through two Green City Day Events. The Green City Day events align work at many sites to see how much collective impact we can have in our city, but the work at these sites is year-round. Trained Habitat Stewards lead volunteer events throughout the year; digging up invasive plants, planting native trees and shrubs, mulching to hold in water during our dry summers, noting bird and wildlife activity, and watching a stream site mature!
