Michael joined Pierce Conservation District in 2024 as an Infrastructure Technician, and then later in 2025 as a Harvest Pierce County Program Coordinator. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology from San Francisco State University. After obtaining his degree, he moved to the East Coast and worked as an Ecological landscaper with local horticulturalists. There, he gained a complex understanding and deep love of plants. He is thrilled to be back on the West Coast and use the knowledge and skills he has developed over the years to contribute to the larger community. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and listening/playing music.
