Site Preparation for Pollinator Plantings

Thursday, December 8, 2022

Are you interested in creating more pollinator and beneficial insect habitat on your farm? Set yourself up for success with a solid site preparation process! From choosing the best location, to eliminating competing vegetation and taking steps to ensure maintenance of your habitat planting is manageable, Corin Pease from the Xerces Society will walk us through the steps of laying out a successful site prep plan from his many years of habitat installation experience. Corin will cover organic and non-organic site prep methods, mulching techniques to allow habitat plantings to flourish, and more.

The workshop will be held in-person at the Pierce Conservation District with the option to join remotely, and is made possible by a grant from Western SARE! We will be sharing resources and funding opportunities available through the Western SARE grant and other funding sources to install pollinator and beneficial insect habitat plantings on your farm.

Please register for the workshop here!
