2019 Seed Swap, Potluck, and Story Share

Saturday, February 2, 2019

We know that plants and people have a special relationship through time, and seeds symbolize the stories of that relationship. At our Seed Swap, people bring homemade family dishes, and share stories and memories about seeds and/or plants that have been passed down in their families for generations. Because increasing food access is in our mission, we receive seed donations from various seed companies specializing in heritage and heirloom varieties so everyone has access to fresh, locally grown food. Bring seeds if you can, and know that there is plenty to share if you can't! If you do bring your own seeds to share, please divide them into coin envelopes (or something of a similar size) and label them with the variety, date harvested, and any other relevant information you'd like to share. If you'd like to share a story about a seed or a plant that's important to you during the Storytelling Open Mic, contact and we'll sign you up.
