Join us at WSU Puyallup Research and Extension Center for a workshop focused on irrigation efficiencies! Troy Peters, WSU irrigation specialist and director of Center for Precision and Automated Agriculture Systems, will present on WSU’s irrigation scheduler app, additional irrigation management tools from WSU, and the basics of subsurface drip irrigation systems. A local producer will share about their experience installing subsurface drip irrigation using Pierce Conservation District’s new drip tape injection implement. Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), Pierce Conservation District and Pierce County Agriculture Program representatives will share about the technical and financial assistance available to assist producers with irrigation efficiency efforts. A tasty lunch will be provided as an opportunity to network with fellow producers and extension providers.
