  1. ~ FULL ~ ON-FARM COMPOST SHORT COURSE (Feb 27) - Part 1

    February 27, 2020, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Allmendinger Center at the WSU Puyallup Extension

    This two-day short course will focus on increasing your knowledge and skills around on-farm composting. The course will include hands-on exercises in compost recipe formulation, feedstock assessment, and construction of aerobic and properly wetted compost piles. End use of compost products to improve production and soil health on-farm and best practices to protect water quality will also be included. Representatives from Washington Department of Ecology and Department of Agriculture will be present on regulations effecting on farm regulations and Organic Program participation.

  1. Native Plant Sale Pre-Orders Available for Pick-up

    February 28, 2020, 12:00 PM - February 29, 2020, 1:00 PM @ Pierce Conservation District

    ?Customers must pick-up their order on one of two days: Friday, 28th or Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at the Pierce Conservation District office located at 308 W Stewart Ave in Puyallup (map it). Pre-orders get first dibs over the walk up sale, so we can't promise how many plants will be left, but we will have a limited quantity of plants available for sale Saturday, February 29th from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
