Pierce Conservation District is closely tracking the
risks associated with COVID-19 and is following the recommendations of the
Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department to reduce the risk of exposure to our
staff and program participants.
If you are a person that is exhibiting symptoms
of COVID-19 (fever; cough; shortness of breath); 60-years or older; someone
with underlying health conditions including heart disease, lung disease, or
diabetes; someone with a weakened immune system; or pregnant, we ask that you
do not attend our workshops or events. If you are exhibiting symptoms of
COVID-19, you will be asked to leave.
If you are in a high risk category listed
above, and you choose to attend one of our workshops or events, you do so at
your own risk.
For more than a decade Ms. Segrest has dedicated her work in the field of Nutrition and Human Health Science towards the efforts of the food sovereignty movement and catalyzing food security strategies rooted in education, awareness and overcoming barriers to accessing traditional foods for tribal communities throughout North America.
