Patricia Colemon is a recognized C-Suite leader with decades of experience in leadership development and capacity building. During her talk at our upcoming Conservation Celebration and Awards Ceremony, Patricia will be exploring the topic: Uncovering Truths.
Uncovering Truths: Equity is the word of the day – it rings in board rooms as well as on the streets. Many of us wonder what it means. In relation to environmentalism, equity is as much about policy and practices as it is about historical narrative. Unfortunately, when it comes to environmentalism, the narrative is as warped and distorted as my old Donna Summer LP’s. The truth has yet to be laid bare for all to see. America has never experienced an un-warped and inclusive history.

Patricia demonstrates her commitment to servant leadership through her civic engagement activities: Board Member and Selection Committee Chair of American Leadership Forum (current); Board Member of the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation (2010-2016); Appointee to the Charter Review Committee, City of Tacoma (2014), and Membership Committee Chair, World Cup Task Force Chair of Leadership Foundations (2008-2012).
A graduate of Iowa State University, Pat is sought out as an industry leader in capacity building, community engagement, and casting new vision on status quo systems. Patricia’s
TED talk, “Wisdom as a Means for Transformation,” asserted that effective leadership cannot exist apart from community. A deep passion for emerging leaders in overlooked places drives her work to infuse anti-oppressive practices and justice to the heart of systems design.
