Jill Wisehart, MEd    

Title: Management Analyst
Organization: Washington State Department of Agriculture             
Jill Wisehart is a recent transplant to the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA). There she splits her time with the new Produce Safety and Food Assistance and Regional Markets programs. She spent over 7 years working in cancer control at the state and national levels and recently transitioned to public health from an agricultural standpoint. Jill earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health from the University of Texas at San Antonio and her Masters in Health Education from Texas State University- San Marcos. 

Daniel Valdez

Title: Ag/Foreign Labor Certification Coordinator
Organization: Employment Security Department
Daniel is the Employment Security Department’s (ESD) statewide Ag/Foreign Labor Certification (FLC) Coordinator. His responsibilities include reviewing FLC applications, serving as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, lead process improvement efforts and represent the agency at Ag events.  He is a former Migrant Seasonal Farmworker Outreach Worker and has spent the last 6 years as the state “H-2A and H-2B” visa programs coordinator.

Brad Harp  

Title:  Water Resources Program Manager
Organization: Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department
Brad Harp is the Water Resources Program Manager for Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department. Brad has over 30 years experience providing technical and administrative oversight for water system development, groundwater and marine water contamination cleanup activities, hazardous substance spill remediation, and resource management efforts. He is active in the Regional Water Cooperative, the Pierce County Water Utilities Coordinating Committee, the Washington State Water Supply Advisory Committee, and an originating member of the Washington State Well Construction Technical Advisory Group. He holds both a bachelors and masters degree in Geology, and is a Washington State licensed hydrogeologist.

Dan Cardwell

Title: Long Range Planning Supervisor
Organization: Pierce County Planning & Land Services
Dan has worked at Pierce County PALS since 1991.  His primary focus has been on land use policy development at the community, county and regional level.   He was a co-lead in the development of the Alderton-McMillan Community Plan, in which agricultural land preservation was a primary focus.
