Visit this almost 5-acre farm that has done an amazing job of improving the forage production of their pastures on challenging prairie soils over the past four years though careful rotational grazing using their mini Dexter cattle, application of composted manure, and application of fertilizer and lime based on results obtained through the District’s ‘first one’s free’ soil sampling program. Come tour the farm, pet the cows, and get some ideas to try on your own farm!
